Its been a long while since I've blogged last and so I wanted to put some updated pictures up! Ella is getting so big. She starts walking and the next day she's running, literally! She is saying more words and has definitely become a lot more vocal. She doesn't want so sit still and so church these days is a little more difficult. I have said this before but she has quite the little personality...but really, would we expect anything less? :) She does this new little funny face where she half closes her eyes and flutters her little eye lashes, its hilarious and she now mimics us like crazy! Her temper tantrums are also bigger! She does her loud little scream and sometimes she'll fall on her butt, scream and look up at me like, mom...the world has just ended and its all your fault!

I find myself the luckiest girl in the world! I'm not bragging but I'm a realist! Last Sunday, January 17th was our 6 year anniversary and I just can't believe its been 6 years already! Thinking back to the days when we were engaged boy did I get the strangest comments from people because I was only 18 and about to get married. I knew then as do I still know that it was the best decision I have ever made in my entire life. Thanks babe for sticking with me, we have a beautiful child and I'm looking forward to the rest of our lives together!!!

Little Family Outing

Yesterday we had a little family outing. The Capital has been closed for a few years for construction and what not and it just reopened. We went down and it was nice to get out and walk around. Ella just loved it! Tons of space for her to walk! Here's some pics and a video of her doing so!

Random Thought Tuesday

Its Tuesday again already? Where did the time go? Its been awhile since I did random thought Tuesday so I thought I would pick it back up again! Well I'm totally missing my laptop! I'm on Tyler's apple and I like it way more than my old dinosaur computer but I'm missing the pictures I have on there. The power cord doesn't work and so hopefully once Tyler gets some electrical tape tonight I'll work again. Who knows, only time will tell!

Yesterday I was in this huge cleaning frenzy because we are transforming our spare bedroom into a guest bedroom and there is just so much cleaning to do! I need to get my butt back in gear and go back to cleaning it. I know I'll be so satisfied once its all clean and pretty!

Ella loves whole milk and so I'm going to try and be done with nursing soon. Its been such a bonding experience I know I'll miss it but my goal was a year and I made it and now its time to move on! She was playing this morning and I looked over to her and she says 'hi'. Just made my heart melt to see how well she's progressing and turning into a big girl!

Yesterday I bought my favorite kind of jerky but was bummed once I got home to find out it isn't peppered but its still good so I can't complain too much!

I love Redbox and I've rented some movies so now I'm going to go and pick them up! Hope everyone enjoyed all my randomness!!!

Ella is officially 1 year and 4 days old. I still can't believe it! When I was brushing her teeth tonight I noticed that she has cut 2 more teeth! Up on the top a few spaces back. They are the same teeth, one on each side. Lately she's also been copying us a lot more. Last night Tyler was asking her if she was ready to go nigh nigh and right after he was done, Ella said nigh nigh. Tonight Tyler was holding her and she was looking at Teddy and Tyler said Teddy and Ella says Teddy! It was amazing! She's been saying Teddy but without the d's. Same with Daddy. Then she just kept saying it over and over and over again. Right after she said it clear as day, Tyler and I just looked at each other shocked! She just amazes us each and every day. I suppose you could say we are proud parents and just love every stage she is in! Yes we adore our little bean to no end! Wonder what she'll say next?

Ella's 1st Birthday!

Last Wednesday the 6th was Ella's first birthday! Its been a year already? I can hardly believe it! We had this cake for her and she loved it. We took the lid off, sat her in front of and was anxious to see what she would do. Whether it be smashing right into the cake or just getting a little feel for it. She just took her cute little finger and got a little bit of the frosting and kept going in for more around the edges where the frosting is a little bit higher. She kept really clean until we cut her a piece and then she just dove right in! She loved it of course! But really, would you think anything less? We all know how her momma is a big chocolate lover :) Ella had her year check up yesterday and here's some stats:

She's almost in the 10th percentile for both of those. She's a little teeny tiny thing but she's proportioned and healthy as can be!

Lately I've been putting cheerios (or as we call them e-os') on this table for Ella. She loves to just pull herself up and start munching on them. She can eat so many of them! Its cute to watch her because she now loves to feed herself. Anytime she has e-os' Teddy just can't stand to be anywhere but with her. He knows that she's gonna be dropping more than a few and he will be there to eat them! But Teddy took it to a whole new level today. I think you can tell by the pictures.......

This morning we went over to the Simplot fields to watch our friends' daughter Kendall play soccer. It was such a beautiful morning and fun to watch both of the games she played. The Simplot field is huge and there were games going on all over the place! We don't even live 5 minutes away but Ella was out like a light before we got home! This is how we found her!

Ella is still in her mommy stage but lately when Tyler gets home she will fall asleep with him and its the cutest thing ever! I love my family so much and I find myself so lucky to be the wife and mommy! They are precious to me and I can't express enough how much love I have for these two!

I almost can't keep up with Ella these days! It seems that she's doing something new everyday! I found her like this yesterday morning in her crib just talking and singing away and when I came in she was the happiest little girl in the world. I love being greeted that way! She has also cut her third tooth and we can see the fourth one about to come in too! Oh and the past few days I've been giving her a mohawk and I think its the cutest thing ever!!!

Today I was watching Dirty Dancing because its one of my all time favorite movies AND because on tv they added some scenes in the movie that aren't in there normally! Sweet! I suppose Ella loves it too and just couldn't get close enough to watch it!

Ella's been talking and being very vocal for a couple of months now and its so cute! About a month ago she said Dada but we weren't really sure if she was meaning to say it, like she knew Tyler was dada or if she was just speaking jiberish (spelling on that word). But yesterday she was saying mamamamamamamama and Tyler and I just looked at each other! So again we weren't sure if she knew what she was saying but later I walked out of the room and she is still in her I want mommy only phase where if I'm not holding her and she wants me to then she cries and crawls to get to wherever I am, SO she was crawling to me saying mamamammamama and then later she said MOM! I couldn't believe it! She's been saying it all day and I love hearing it!!! Since I haven't blogged in awhile but Ella crawls everywhere and stands up on anything and everything she can get her little hands on! She is growing up so fast these days but is the happiest and healthiest little bean!

Cheerios anyone?

Yesterday I laid out a bunch of cheerios on the floor for Ella and she went crazy! She loves cheerios and sometimes I can't feed them fast enough to her! The thing is, is that when I let her feed herself, usually they don't go into her mouth and get all over her hands and mouth and then she gets mad because she's not being fed but yesterday she was doing a lot better! Next thing I knew she had one stuck to her head! She was so funny and it kept her entertained for a long time and Teddy was just freaking out wanting to eat all the cheerios that were around him. You can definately count on Pugs when there is food around!

Okay so I wanted the video to go first on here but I did it backwards, go figure! Anyways, here's Ella and her mascaras (you'll read below) and then a couple other cute ones of her and one I love of her and Tyler!!

So Ella crawls so much now and its the cutest thing ever! I've been trying to get video of her and I have but sometimes she cries or other times she gets distracted by Teddy. She LOVES holding and playing with my mascara. A tube for each hand! (She can only hold it, no actual make up allowed until she's older!!!!) So that's what she's crawling to here in the video.

Yes!!! And her name just happens to be Ella :) Today she's been crawling a lot more. She was in the living room and I was making dinner in the kitchen and here comes Ella around the corner and into the kitchen. I LOVE WATCHING HER! Its the cutest thing ever. I know I need to get video and I'll put it on my list of things to do tomorrow so I can post it. I know EVERYONE is dying to see her crawl! Her daddy was sitting in the chair and she crawled over to him tonight too. Its so fun to watch! I do have to say that she is a strong little thing! I can stand her against something and she'll hold on all by herself. Now her other new thing is that she's trying to pull herself up onto things as well. If she has just woken up I'll go into get her and she has the bumper pads squished all the way down and is holding onto the crib. She looks like she's in jail and wants out! But the little Ella Bean is doing great and is pretty much back to her normal self, happy as can be! She was cranky after our trip because we threw her schedule off and then she would get mad because she couldn't crawl but we are back on track and now she can crawl so I suppose its onto a new adventure!

So I have missed Random Thought Tuesday and I haven't been blogging lately? What's the deal you ask? I have been LAZY!!! Yes it is true! Okay so here's what we've been up to. Over a week ago when my mom was down, we all met my dad in Cascade for camping! Yay! Ella's first camping trip, being able to relax by a fire, smores...mmmm...smores and just all around being able to spend some time with family. Dare to dream I suppose. And here's how it really went. Trailor park...trailors too close. Us in a tent right next to the poop shoot of the neighbors (smelled it once or twice and it was enough to kill) us not having a fire pit and not getting one the first night...downright LAME! Ella not sleeping and crying both nights. Saturday we had the train ride and it was interesting as well! It was so hot and Ella was so crabby (go figure...not getting any sleep) and on the way back to the little train station Tyler, Ella and I fell asleep. Finally some sleep just not at the right time. Then on our way back to the camp (it was about an hour drive) Ella was screaming in her car seat! My dad felt so bad but I made him keep driving, she just wanted out of her car seat and that was all there was to it. Second night....Ella crying and around 3 I asked Tyler to give her a blessing. The second after he gave her the blessing she was back to her normal self, the happiest baby ever! She was giggly and all smiles and we were finally able to get some sleep. I am so thankful for the power of the Priesthood and the many wonderful things it has done for our family. The last day we were there we figured out some of the problems, Ella, not trying to crawl, couldn't get any of her energy out during the day because we were always holding her! Put all the bad stuff aside and we actually did have a good time. It was nice to see my parents and to see what camping with Ella would be like. No more camping trips this summer have been planned.

Since then we haven't been getting much sleep either. Her schedule has been so off and she's been waking up quite frequently during the night. Monday I finally took her into the Dr because its been so bad. She cries all the time and has to be held constantly. Which means that I can't get anything else done and even when I was holding her, sometimes she would still be crabby. Ahh what an unpleasant time! So while we were waiting for the Dr I put Ella up on the padded table there have in the room and she started crawling across the table to get the coloring books and crayons on the other side! I was like..what the...!?!? Sweet! Ella crawls and it was the cutest thing I have ever seen! I got in trouble with the Dr while I was there...he asked me if I was still nursing her at night and I kinda put my head down and said yeahhhhh...I know that by this age she doesn't need to be nursed at night but at night I don't care about those things, I just want to get her back to bed so I can get back to bed too! Nursing would get her back to sleep or she would just cry! And the Dr said LET HER CRY ALYCIA!!! She doesn't need it and now she's getting on a pattern of waking up a few times at night and what we want is for her to sleep through the night! Okay okay, I hear ya loud and clear Doc. I also got the 'Told ya so' from Tyler. I just hate hearing her cry, breaks my heart and I'm just not good at it! She's been going to bed around 7 or 8 these past few nights when she cries I let her cry it out and go back to sleep. Its actually not too bad and she doesn't cry for that long. So hopefully we are getting back on schedule and maybe one of these nights I'll actually score 8 hours of sleep in a row? Maybe? Please? She's been a lot happier the past few days too and I know she loves the comfort of home. And she's a crib baby! She loves her crib and what she knows! I love watching her crawl all over the place, except for when she crawls over to our dvd player and starts touching all of the buttons. I love each phase that she goes through although I wish they wouldn't pass us by so fast. Tyler asked me the other day if I was loving being a mom and I do. Being a wife and a mother is the one thing I have always been so sure of in my life. I received a lot of critisism when I was 18 and getting married instead of going to college but 5 and a half years later I still stand by my decision!

Okay so since I didn't do my Random Thought Tuesday, here's a couple of thoughts....

Why is it that there are a million people who work at Walmart but when you need help you can't find any of them, and when you do find someone, they can't help you find what you need???

What good are mosqitos for other than to irritate people???

I think that Tyler should go on a game show or something! We were watching Who Wants to be a Millionaire last night and they had showed a clip of a guy who was on there who one $2 Million dollars and Tyler knew the answer!! He is so smart and knows so many random things about everything that I know he'd do great on a show like that!

Alright Ella is taking a nap and its time for me to take a bath and read. I've been loving reading the Harry Potter books!

So I totally missed Random Thought Tuesday! Darn it! This week has just flown by! So my mom flew in last Tuesday night and we've been having fun ever since! We've been shopping, eating, going to the park. Just a bunch of different things. So we went shopping yesterday and we walked by Christopher and Banks and my moms says all excididly, "OH I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS A CHRISTOPHER AND BANKS STORE!" and I say, "You liar! We've been in here tons of times!!" I thought she was joking when she said that because I absolutely hate that store! Old lady pants with animals on the pockets or buttons on the blouse or maybe a little of both on each that match and look absolutely rediculous! I drag my feet everytime I go in that stupid little store. So we went in and mom found a cute shirt and I thought it actually looked good and the pattern was good. Usually in this store I say, wow, really? That looks horrible. Don't get that. Why would anyone want to wear that? But we passes a rack that had stuff on sale for $9.99 and I actually, yes and this is for real, I actually found 2 (count it) skirts that I went and tried on. My mom about died and when she saw them on me she started laughing and said that finally I was going to wear something from Christopher and Banks...SHOOT! I also told my SIL Val and she started laughing as well. Now people, this does not mean that I will go into this store by myself and this does not mean I will be buying stuff in this store. I think that it was fluke and it will probably never happen again.

So on a lighter note, I had a Scentsy party tonight and had a great turn out at my house! It was so much fun and we had yummy treats that mom made and juice and even some veggies with dip that Laura made. It was a great evening and now I'm looking forward to the weekend! We are meeting my dad in Cascade and going camping!! It will be Ella's first time camping and I hope it will be fun and turn out good. We are also taking a train ride on Saturday and we are all really looking forward to that as well. Alright, well its 11:37pm and Ella is screaming! Doesn't she know that it is sleeping time? Suppose she wants to nurse and then go back to sleep. Have a great weekend!

CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost forgot the most important thing!!!! Ella crawled today!!! It was only a couple little ones but she kept doing it and is really catching on! Its so fun and so adorable to watch her! Go Ella!!!!!

Random Thought Tuesday

So here it is Tuesday again, time is flying by! Today I was supposed to babysit for my friend Laura but her poor daughter was up all night coughing. They are going to the Dr's today so I hope that she feels better!!! So I've been up since 7:30 this morning and I've already cleaned a ton! I hate cleaning but you always have such a great feeling when its all done! So its been my goal to to really clean stuff every day!

We've been trying to teach Teddy how to use the doggy doors! He is such a stubborn dog! There's a doggy door to the garage and then another one in the back door leading out to the backyard. We think that maybe he doesn't like it because since he's a pug and has a flat face maybe it bugs him? Who knows but it would be really nice if he was to let himself out when he needs to go. Speaking of, its so hot out already and he's outside but he won't use the doors unless we help him. So maybe one day he'll get the hang of it.....???

So now I'm just relaxing about to make some lunch and watching Twilight. Yes, I know what you are thinking, but I like this movie (and yes I will admit there are some seriously cheesy parts) but I still like it! Ella is scooting around all over the place. She now gets up on her knees and rocks back and forth. Yes I've started Ella-proofing the house :) She loves trying to crawl but she gets so frustrated when it doesn't happen. She's a strong little thing though! Yesterday I was sitting behind her and stood her up and she was standing holding onto the couch. She stood there for about a minute! She did that the other day too! Of course I'm right there ready to catch her! Ella amazes me everyday!

Well I'm off to make some Mac and Cheese. I've been on a kick of making it for lunch for over a month now, I don't know why but oh well. Have a Happy Tuesday...tomorrow's already Hump Day! (Okay people we all know what hump means....right? Its the middle of the week of course!)

So yesterday I was on the phone with my mom and we were having a nice chat and I looked down at Ella and she was on her hands and knees! This is the first time I've seen her up on her knees and its exciting yet crazy to think that the next step for her is to crawl! She already scoots on her tummy and moves all over the place. I suppose its time to start baby proofing the house a little bit better!

Random Thought Tuesday

So I borrowed this idea from my sister in law Val who in return borrowed the idea from her sister! Its called random thought Tuesday and you just blog about whatever is on your mind. Today I went to Albertsons and got a few items. Now everytime I go there I always think a sign is going to fall on my head. A couple of weeks ago as I was walking in, the sign up above the door fell and hit me on the head, really hard, I didn't know what the heck it was. At first I was thinking that I somehow ran into the door even though I was walking right in the middle. Some people saw it and asked me if I was okay, I got all embarrased and walked around the store, couldn't remember what I was there for and walked out. Tyler was thinking I maybe got a concussion but I think I was okay, just a bunch of ibuprofen and the couch the rest of the night. But I got in and got out of the store A-Okay today!

I'm drinking Cherry Coke, its my favorite! I wish sometimes that I liked water more than I liked pop but that'll probably never change. I'm making salmon for dinner tonight and can't wait to eat! I also have to make cupcakes because tomorrow I have Faith in God in the morning and its my turn to bring treats. For the summer they had switched the time from 4:30 in the afternoon to 9:00am! We only did that time once and everyone hated it so now its at 11:00am which I can handle!

People think I'm funny when I tell them I am making scarfs to sell on Etsy. I guess it is a little funny that I'm making scarfs when its so hot out! I actually am looking forward to Fall. I love summer but I get overheated too fast when its so hot out, especially down here in Boise! I've always been that way, I can handle the cold a lot better then I can handle the hot weather! I love Fall because its still so nice out and cool at night and walks in the evening are wonderful and the new tv shows come on. Okay okay, I suppose I shouldn't wish time away!

6 months appointment

Today Ella had her 6 months appointment and everything went great! She weighs 16 pounds 2 ounces and is 24 inches long. She was so happy the whole appointment. She was flapping her arms all around (she flaps them up and down and she looks like a little penguin, its so cute) and played with her toy and made all sorts of noises. Then she got 2 shots and of course she cried but got over it pretty fast and was all happy again! Here are some pictures that I just took of her. She loves sitting up and looking around and playing will all of her toys. The next picture is of the bandaids that cover the shots that she got and the last one is of her in excersaucer. 6 Months, where is the time going!?!

On Monday July 6th, Ella turned 6 months old! We can't believe how fast the time has passed us by! Ella Karen Seely was born January 6th at 3:51 in the afternoon. She weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces and was 18 3/4 inches long. Now she weighs 16 pounds 3 ounces and we have so much fun with her! She sits up, scoots around on her tummy, laughs, smiles, tries to grab and reach for everything! There's so much more but I'd be writing forever about all of her accomplishments. Here are a few pictures of our precious baby girl! We love her so much and she fills our life with so much joy.

So this last Saturday Tyler and I kept it pretty low key for the day! One year ago we were on the beach in Coeur d'Alene with my family and I was 13 weeks pregnant with just a little bump! Fast forward a year and we have our daughter Ella and she's 6 months old! This year we enjoyed a beautiful day and then barbaqued in the evening. Since Ella's bedtime is between 8 and 9 we opted to stay in and light some sparklers. I LOVE sparklers! Its a funny story because when I went to the stand I thought I was only buying 5 sparklers and ended up with 5 boxes of sparklers, I think there was 6 in each. Around 8 we put Ella to bed and then just hung out until it got dark. Then we broke out the sparklers and had so much fun with them! The pictures aren't the best of quality but they turned out pretty cool! We are so blessed as a country to have the freedom that we do!

This morning at 3 am Ella was super fussy again! Enough with the early morning already!!! I gave her some Tylenol and rocked with her, poor thing! So I took her to the Dr's this morning and had her checked out. Her pediatrician wasn't in and so we saw another Dr from the same practice and he was great! So great in fact that we switched over to him! He said that she doesn't have an ear infection and that he was impressed by the fact that she is 6 months and has never had one! Ella is just fussy because she cut another tooth! My goodness everything is going to fast! I'm so glad she doesn't have an ear infection and that we know why she is so cranky! Oh and she now weighs 16 pounds 3 ounces!!! Her 6 month check up will be on the 13th. Guess that means more shots for the little Ella bean.

Yesterday I decided to have Ella play the drums with me. I want to get her started early and maybe (if she wishes) she will play the drums too! Tyler held her at first and she just watched me. I didn't play too loud and I don't think she jumped at all! I will admit though, it was hard with her on my lap because she just wanted to grab the drum sticks and put them in her mouth!

As long as she is getting most of the food I don't think she cares where some of the other winds up! She loves being spoon fed!

I know I already blogged about how she cut her first tooth but ever since then she has been a pretty crabby girl! Sometimes we can lay her down and she'll go right to sleep, other times we aren't so lucky. This morning she woke up to feed around 5 and afterwards would not go back to sleep! I can't tell you how many times we had to get up to put her binky in but finally I could tell that I needed to give her some Tylenol. After that I rocked her and she finally went back to sleep. She woke up like that the night before too. I called the Dr. today and she said that if she has trouble sleeping again tonight then we need to have her checked out because she may have an ear infection or something else. We have been keeping an eye on her because she has tugged at her ear a couple of times. So who knows if its that or if she's cutting another tooth. Only time will tell! I am excited though for her tooth to get bigger!!!

This morning I had my visiting teacher Tay over. She was holding Ella when she says, 'Oh she's cut her first tooth!' It was so exciting because we didn't know! She's been drooling a long time and off and on cranky for a while now. I wish I could take a picture but you wouldn't be able to see it. She's almost 6 months now and we have her 6 month appointment coming up in a couple of weeks so it'll be nice to see how much she weighs and how she's developing!!!

She loves leaning forward and if there's something in front of her she'll go for it. Just when you think she's going to fall forward she sits back up, toy and all in her hand!

Ella is now 5 and a half months and I can't believe how big she is getting! The things that she does just amazes me and brings a smile to my face whenever I see her. She is the sweetest and most precious thing to Tyler and I. Here is an update of Ella.

1. After just once of spoon feeding she got the hang of it and loves it! She even leans into it when the spoon is coming!

2. She is rolling over like crazy!

3. She can sit up by herself!

4. She reaches for everything and once she gets it, it goes directly into her mouth!

5. She is the biggest talker! I think she really thinks she is carrying on a conversation with you!

6. She is a mommy's girl. She may let you hold her but mommy has to be in her eye sight!

We are so blessed to have her and all of the joy she brings to our lives! We love you Ella Karen!!!

Our First Girls Trip!

So this last Thursday Ella and I drove up to Pinehurst and stayed until Monday! We had so much fun while we were up and it was fun hanging out with all of the family! We went to the Car d'Lane on Friday night and saw some awesome cars! Ella even took a nap in her stroller during part of the cruise! I don't know how she slept but its nice that she can sleep through so much noise! There was so much exhaust but that didn't annoy me as much as all the people smoking! It made me so mad when people would smoke right next to us when they could clearly see us holding Ella! Also we had a Scentsy party and it was a lot of fun too! We went to church on Sunday and it was cool because Tyler's dad was a speaker! Ella was also very popular and everyone loved her! (of course) :) Dad's birthday was on Saturday, the big 59!!!! I mean....39!?!?? So we celebrated with a bbq Sunday afternoon. Under the carport in my parents' back yard there was a birds nest with the cutest baby birds!!! We took some pictures but tried not to get too close. Val took some pictures of Ella and they turned out adorable if I do say so myself! For dad's gift we gave him the picture below of Mom, Ella and I. Val took some of the best pictures ever and I am so glad we have them! Monday we drove home. We were sad to leave the family but super excited to get back home to Tyler! We missed him so much!!!! Here's some pictures from the trip!

So this last Memorial weekend we went down to Mt. Pleasant, Utah. The Seely's have a family house down there that is around 150 years old and it is a new tradition for everyone to get together and go down for the Memorial weekend. We left on Friday and drove down. We were able to leave Teddy with some of our good friends and it was so nice not to have to worry about him while we were gone! Friday was also my 24th birthday! Man, where has the time gone!?! We actually stayed in Ephraim which is about 15 minutes away from Mt. Pleasant in a bed and breakfast. That night Tyler's parents went and got me a cake and we celebrated my birthday! It was so nice to celebrate it with family! Over the next few days we went to a festival they had in Ephraim and just had fun at the house. They have a go cart and a three wheeler that we drove around and played some volleyball too! We went to Sacrament meeting on Sunday and after that we were able to go on a tour of another really old Seely house. That house was amazing but it was sad because it hasn't been kept up and renovation would probably be so expensive! Monday was the day that we did some cleaning and work around the house. Tara, Morgan and I went for a nice walk with the babies too! Later that day we stopped by and saw Grandma and Grandpa Jensen. They haven't seen Ella yet and so it was nice to visit them and have them see Ella! We had a great weekend and it was so much fun to hang out and see everyone!

Wow I really haven't put any new posts up in a really long time! So many things have happened since then too. I got to celebrate my first Mother's Day and it was an amazing day! We went to church and then afterwards Ella and I came home. Tyler had a meeting for the Young Men's and so we came home and waited for him. Then after an hour he still wasn't home and I was starving! When he got home he came in with flowers, a singing card and the Twilight movie! It was so sweet. Cole came over and we went up to Lucky Peak and had a picnic. It was such a beautiful day and the weather was perfect! Thanks honey for an amazing first Mother's Day! My mom came down a couple weeks ago too and we had a really fun weekend! We got Ella's ears pierced and it was so sad to hear her scream and cry from it but she got over it pretty quick and she looks adorable with her pierced ears! I wanted to get them down while she was a baby because I can keep her ears cleaned so they don't get infected and she won't remember the pain of getting them pierced. Actually I don't think it hurts that bad but I got mine done when I was 9 months old and my mom kept them clean for me and they never have been infected! My mom's visit was a short one but it was so nice to have her down. I miss her a lot and now having a daughter of my own I feel like I understand her a little better. Well this is all for now but I will post more later!

The weather wasn't too bad this afternoon. It was pretty windy but the sun was out and it wasn't that cold. Tyler was out mowing the lawn and Teddy was out barking at the lawn mower. We think he's intimidated by it and so the only thing he can do is to bark at it. Just our theory but who really knows what's in his little head! So Ella and I decided to join the fun! Its been so cold and rainy lately so it was really refreshing to see some sun! Ella hung out all warm in her bouncer on the deck. Tyler kept having to put her mittens back on because she kept getting them off! I was in the garden trying to get all the weeds out. Weeds are such a pain in the butt and I hate them with a passion! Our garden has a ton of strawberries in it and my plan is to plant a bunch of other things in there too. Its a lot of work though, who knew! Haha. So after we came back inside I took a picture of Ella. She looked so cute in her outfit and little hat. Pauline made it for her and it fits her so well! Its so adorable and she didn't mind it at all!

So I was taking some pictures of Ella and she didn't even throw a fit! I think she likes being in just a diaper. She's been doing a lot of talking lately too! I think she loves the sound of her voice and just wants it to be heard! This Wednesday she will be 4 months old and I can't believe how the time is just flying by! I know I've said this before but she is just the happiest baby! Whenever I see her smile or laugh it just brings the biggest smile to my face and I can't help but give her a million kisses! So this afternoon Ella and I went down to the Timberline High School and watched 5th and 6th grade track! It was so much fun! At first I had Ella in her stroller but there were so many people there I just took her out of it and held her in my arms! So much easier. I found Jen Jenkins and sat with her. It was so hot out but Ella did great! She just sat on my lap and made little noises. She had a ton of sunscreen on so she'll still be a little white baby! I got to watch some of my Valient girls compete in their races and they all did so good! Osheana, Madeline and Morgan. Way to go girls it was so fun to watch!!!

So for a couple of days Ella was such a cranky girl! We couldn't figure out what was wrong with her and then Tyler said that maybe she was teething! To make a long story short she is happy now so who knows if she maybe just had a tummy ache or if she really is starting to teeth. So here are some pictures I took of Ella today. She is doing really well! Healthy and the happiest baby you've ever seen. She loves to smile and she is so much fun to be around. She definately puts us in a good mood if we aren't already. Anyways, she has now really found her thumb! For the past few weeks she's been putting her right thumb in her mouth but now if her binky isn't in there then her thumb is! It is so cute! So I'm wondering if she may be like her daddy in the sense that maybe she will be left handed. We all know that I sucked my thumb, yes for a long time, but I always sucked my left thumb and I'm right handed. Who knows, its all just a theory!

Her First Giggle

So we were just sitting here and Tyler's mom is holding Ella and she just giggled! Her first giggle! Grandma Karen was making noises to her and she just loved it! She's also found her fingers and loves looking at them. She'll suck on her hands and every once in awhile she'll find her thumb! Hopefully she won't get hooked on sucking on her thumb. We all know how much I loved mine!

Ella is doing really well these days! She is the happiest baby I have ever seen! She smiles all the time and makes a lot of noises. Sometimes she is so loud and I love to just listen to her 'talk'. She is so much fun and even when she's crabby she still tends to make us smile! She had a Dr's appointment a couple of weeks ago and she weighs 10 pounds 8 ounces! She's even got some chunk to her! Our Dr says that she's doing really well and doesn't have any concerns! She has started looking at her hands and trying to figure out what they are! Its amazing to just watch this little person and see how much she has already grown! She will be 11 weeks this Tuesday! The time is just flying by too fast!
So a couple of days ago I was outside for a second and when I came back in and shut the door it startled Ella. She never woke up but her arms went up and just kind of stayed there for a good 5 minutes or so. It was too cute so of course I had to take a picture!

So this past week we had some really nice days! One afternoon we went and just hung out in our back yard. Teddy liked it because we were running around playing with him and he could just lay on the deck and not be shaking from the cold! Ella just kinda slept and it was so nice and relaxing! Ella wore her bunny hat and she is so cute when she wears it. My cousin Kelly bought her the cutest Easter outfit and with it she got this hat. (Thanks Kelly) So here are a few pictures!

We blessed Ella this past Sunday, March 1st. It was such an amazing experience. Tyler said the blessing and did a wonderful job! It was incredible to have most all of our family down and we are truely thankful for them. Ella was blessed in my dress that I was blessed in almost 24 years ago. Jenny Duce had made the dress for me and it is so neat that Ella was able to wear it too. We took a ton of pictures but I will only put up a few!

Yesterday Ella turned 4 weeks old! I can't believe it! Time is going by so fast! She started smiling for us too! I was able to get a few pictures of her in the act. Its the cutest thing ever, she starts to wrinkle her nose a little bit and then she'll open her mouth and smile. Or she'll just open her mouth and will stare at you! She'll just stare and study your face. I always wonder what her little mind is thinking or when she sleeps, I wonder what she is dreaming about.

Here are a few pictures I took just a little while ago. She only slept for about 2 seconds in the two pictures. Ella is being a little crabby pants and doesn't want to go to sleep, she just wants to be held! They say that you can't spoil an infant by holding them too much because they don't know the difference but I swear that she knows because as soon as you pick her up she usually stops crying! Who knows. But other than that, Ella is doing really well! She is so much fun I just can't get enough of her and neither can her daddy! Teddy is really interested in her too. He is a little jealous though because he used to just be content in laying in his dog bed and now you can't get him to lay in it for anything! He likes to sniff her (but who doesn't love the way a new baby smells) but we have to be careful because he'll try and lick her and who knows where his little mouth has been these days!

So here it is. We have 5 weeks left until Ella is here. Its crazy! Our Dr said today that if I go into labor in the next week then he'll stop it, but after that its a go! Unbelievable to think that she'll be here soon. Anyways, we were up North this past week visiting our families and my sister Val took some pics. I haven't seen them all yet but here is one that she has sent to me. I LOVE IT. Didn't think that I would put a bare belly picture up but I think its too darn cute not to share! Maybe that's a little too conceited to say but oh well! :)

Pregnancy and Movies

So we went and saw Quantum of Solace last night, the new 007 movie. It was an awesome movie!!! So we got there and it was packed! We ended up down on the floor and in the middle of the aisle. So we are watching the movie and everything is going fine and then all the sudden, Ella starts moving. She's stretching here and stretching there and sticking out here. The way she was moving hurt! Anyways, the movie was awesome and I'm glad that we saw it but there's only one more movie I'm seeing and that's Twilight! Other than that, we are done with the movie theatre! Moral of my story, only having 7 weeks left to go and not being able to sit still for long, well, the movies aren't the best place to be, especially opening weekend!!!

So my parents were down this weekend and we had so much fun! Mom hadn't seen our house yet and so it was really nice to show her! She even brought me some super cute crafty things....ahhhh, thanks mom! Halloween night mom and I handed out candy while Dad and Tyler went out and got us some food! The trick or treaters were so cute! But we only got about 10 of them and I was suprised we didn't get more. Uh oh....that means a lot of unecessary chocolate around the house that I know I'll be helping myself to! But Saturday we got to do some shopping and went out to dinner with my dad's brother Bob and his wife Shirley. We always go to McGrath's Fish House and it is to die for. Uncle Bob even knew what each of us were going to order! It was hilarious. Other than that we were able to hang out and just enjoy each other's company. We are bummed to say that it was a short weekend and they are already gone. With or without pregnancy, I always cry when they leave but we'll see them at Thanksgiving and its hard to believe that its coming up so fast! And we didn't get any pictures either, so here's a cute picture of them that we took a while ago! Love you mom and dad! We had a blast with you guys!

Hey guys! We are going to try and be better at this! Its been a busy year and we can't believe that September is pretty much over! We bought our first house around a month ago and are loving it! We love having so much room and a place to call our own. Our next project will be the baby's room although we still have a few boxes left unpacked in the garage! Her room will be pink and brown. We are going to paint polka dots on the lower half of the walls....good thing my mom and dad will be down soon so mom can help me with that! She's super crafty.

Today I am 26 weeks along and it sure is flying fast! She is healthy as can be and is always moving around! I think she's a little dancer in there or maybe a kung fu fighter. Either way, she's really active and we have fun watching!

This past weekend, we made a trip down to Ogden, Ut. That's where Tyler's sister Tara and her husband Jason live. They had a baby boy last week and named him Ryder. Talk about a cutie! Most of Tyler's whole family was down there so it was nice to hang out and enjoy some time with them. Also it was battle of the pugs! Teddy (our pug) Frankie (Tara & Jason's pug) and Sampson (Ty's parents pug) all got to hang out. Teddy and Frankie are still young and so they love to kiss and play and run with each other. Sampson on the other hand, wasn't having it. He's old and likes his space :)

It was Alycia's moms birthday and her Dad was cool enough to fly her up so that she could be there with her family. Meanwhile, I stayed home and pretty much did nothing. By nothing, I pretty much mean it. I slept in as late as possible and then I hung out around the house with Teddy our dog. I'm even boring myself as I write this.

One thing I did do is clean up around the house. Now that Alycia's pregnant, I've tried to do more around the house so she doesn't have to. I can't stand doing the dishes but, surprisingly, I kinda enjoy vacuuming. Maybe it's because it makes noise and sucks stuff up or maybe it's because it scares the crap out of the dog. All I know is that I don't mind doing it.

I also cleaned the bathroom which has always been my job since we got married and I'm trying to remember how exactly I got stuck with this duty. Anyways, I cleaned the tub and toilet and even opened up some potpourri to ensure that our bathroom is fresh at all times. Not very manly, I admit, but it's true and it's just another thing that Alycia doesn't have to do.

The pregnancy is going really well and, lately, her belly has really been growing. Actually, it seemed to grow almost overnight and now there's no denying that a little baby is on the way. We've been going over different baby names but it seems like we've only been coming up with names for girls. It seems that everyone thinks we're going to be having a little girl instead of a boy. My sister, Tara, who believes she possesses the gift of being able to predict whether or not someone is going to have a boy or girl, says that a girl is on the way. On a side note, Tara says she's never been wrong and I think this merits further investigation. Anyways, even when I try to think up of some good boy names, only girl names pop into my mind. If anyone has any good name suggestions, please submit them because my mind is totally blank.

First Post-Alycia is Pregnant!

So, this is our first post and I've got something big to tell everyone. Alycia is Pregnant! We've known for a few weeks but held off on making it public until her first doctor's appointment. Well, we now know that she's 9 weeks pregnant and is due on January 6th. I feel bad for Alycia because she's been pretty sick for the last couple of weeks with morning sickness and I can only hope that it passes soon because it's hard to see her so miserable but it's nice knowing that everything is normal and the baby is healthy so far. Here is a pic of the first ultrasound.
